Secretly Straighten Your Smile with Invisalign®

Invisalign® are unique aligners designed to gently straighten your teeth without the frequent adjustments or hassles associated with standard metal braces. They are completely removable, allowing you to eat or drink normally throughout the day!

Because they’re clear, you can enjoy the benefits of Invisalign® without others being able to see them! They’re great for teenagers and adults alike – and capable of straightening your teeth over the course of about one year!

Procedure

During the Invisalign® process, you’ll wear a set of aligners for about 2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss.

After this period, you’ll transition to a new set of aligners, moving your teeth little by little, week by week - until they have straightened to the their final position.

You'll visit us about once every 6 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned.

Total treatment time averages 9 - 15 months and the average number of aligners during treatment is between 18 - 30, but both will vary from case to case!

FAQ

  • Can I Eat or Drink with the Aligners In?

No, with the exception of water. You should remove your Invisalign® any time you need to eat food or drink anything that isn’t water to avoid damaging your aligners.

  • How Long Should I Wear My Aligners Each Day?

As long as you can – ideally no less than 20-22 hours out of the day. You should only remove them when you have to, which would be for eating, drinking, brushing and flossing.

  • Do I Need to Clean My Aligners?

Yes! We can provide you with an Invisalign® Cleaning System, or you can simply clean them with your toothbrush and toothpaste. When cleaning and rinsing your Invisalign® aligners, use lukewarm water instead of hot water. Water that is too hot may warp the aligner and require a replacement to continue your treatment.

  • What Happens If I Lose an Aligner?

Depending on where you are in your treatment plan, we may recommend that you wear your previous aligner until we can replace your lost aligner, or move you to your next set. Each case is evaluated individually, so contact us as soon as possible if you lose one of your aligners!
